About April:
My little princess and our cheeky little "wild child"!
April is an incredibly cheerful and happy Flat-girl, she loves to have fun and wants to be part of everything!Her curiosity and joy of discovery has no limits and I'm sure there's no single corner her sweet nose hasn't explored. Attentive and full of energy she loves discovering the world and when we go hiking she discoveres more than the rest of us, while Julie is walking around us only with some excursions into the creek, April has to leave no stone unturned, has to climb every mountain and to change the creek into her personal fun area.
April is high spirited, friendly and so funny. She is full of new ideas and makes us laughing a lot! She is playful and likes to fool around, but she also loves cuddling a lot and is calm and relaxed at home!
At work she sometimes has some nonsense in her head, but when she gets it under control ;-) she really can show a peak performance! As you can see in her hunting test April has excellent hunting qualities – she passed it with more than full points (262 out of 260), she got extra points for her great manner of cooperation! In such moments I'm the happiest dog handler in the world! April is a very fast and stylish worker with an excellent nose work! She has a really good marking - and game finding ability. Although she has a lot of temperament, she works always quiet and with a soft mouth!
Aprils Show career started extremely promising and till today this hasn't changed - she's my Show-girl! In december 2008 she won the puppy class- it has been the first time in the show ring for both of us - of the german Clubshow and got Best Youngster of Breed! By now April has gained some nice Show results, one highlight was the Best of Breed in Dortmund in may 2010, close to the great succes in Tatenhausen and Timmerlage 2010 where she won the open classes with excellent 1 + CAC and got res.best bitch under the breed specialists Jim Irvine and J. Verrees! In summer 2011 she won the Retriever-Show in Timmerlage again and completed her Club Champion title! In May 2012 I show her at the British Dog Festival and the European-Winner-Show in Dortmund where April again wins the open class at both days and completes her second Champion titel! I'm proud of my little girl and really looking forward to many nice moments with her!
